Sharing Living Space Peacefully

Sharing Living Space Peacefully – Part 1

On this edition of Peace Talks Radio, well be talking about why its so hard to live well together. It sounds simple – after all, most people have shared living space at one point or another in their lives. But in reality, its one of the hardest things to do well, and wisely.

Add in a good mix of differing value sets, cultural backgrounds, mental models, communication styles, daily rhythms, and personal habits, and youve got an environment rich with triggers that can hearken back to the original co-living collective: our families.

How can we use the conflicts that arise in everyday living situations to reflect on why we are the way we are, how we can better understand the other, and how conflict can be leveraged to enrich our relationships, rather than deteriorate them?

To answer these questions, correspondent Sen Zhan speaks with four experts in the field of communities and conflict navigation: Laird Schaub, Maria Silvia, Karl Steyaert, and Diana Leafe Christian.

Peace Talks Radio is produced by the non-profit media organization Good Radio Shows, Inc.
