“This instrument can teach, it can illuminate; yes, and even it can inspire. But it can do so only to the extent that humans are determined to use it to those ends. Otherwise, it’s nothing but wires and lights in a box. There is a great and perhaps decisive battle to be fought against ignorance, intolerance and indifference.” Edward R. Murrow

IT’S WHAT AND WHO YOU NEED TO KNOW NOW, BROUGHT TO YOU BY PEOPLE WHO ‘GET IT’

The Mobilized Personal PowerProject (We the People Project) , the only media event of its kind, goes behind the scenes and down the rabbit hole and brings together valuable insights to personal power, community power and ideas into action dedicated to justice for all. A collaborative multimedia experience, we invite citizens from around the United States to discover the personal power we all have in our hands to make the difference.

An idea whose time is now:
There are two deeply important days which require more understanding and your civic action. With or with out the individual you voted for now in power, it is always a good idea to put your civic super-power into action. The next 30 days is an excellent time to do it.

What we can do
November 11th is Veterans day. The day we choose to honor those who risked their lives and those who sacrificed theirs to keep us safe and free. Originally called Armistice Day, November 11th marking the end of WW I. This year, marks the 100th anniversary of the end of that great war, optimistically called the ‘War to end all Wars’. No one really knows why it started other than the assassination of one man, but more important is why did not it end all wars. That will be addressed later.

Humanity’s Calling
December 10th this year marks the 70th Anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. A blue print drafted and approved by all nations thanks to the leadership of America’s First Lady, Eleanor Roosevelt. After the massive destruction, unparalleled deaths, stomach churning horrors, and terrorizing evolution of weapons that made another war absurd… it was clear to everyone then that humanity should do everything possible to prevent another. The course they offered saw the global protection of human rights as “the foundation of freedom, justice and peace in the world.”

Unenforceable laws: What can we, the people do?
Unfortunately, the United Nations was never given the power to enforce this wise universal principle. Instead, nation states retained their right to do whatever they pleased, whenever they wanted, to whomever they targeted as long as they were within their own borders. And, if they were so bold to murder innocent people beyond their border, there was no means of holding them accountable without a war or lethal acts of vengeance that could spark a war.

Thirty days of inspiring ideas into action
There are thirty days between these two reflective dates. Given the escalation of recent chaotic events; the growing volume, velocity and variety of global catastrophic risks; our loss of trust in the media, science, region and governments, and the increasingly difficult in governments preventing them or protecting us from them, the evolution of weaponry and other technologies that each carry the capacity for mass death, destruction or distraction.

A time to overcome misunderstandings
There are three things we must take into account to understand the world of problems we are in, how we got here, and what change is urgently needed. It can all be simply explained with a three line graph representing three persistent factors. The first factor is an unstoppable force humans created that may destroy us. EXPONENTIAL GROWTH OF TECHNOLOGY -ending with AI. The second is a powerful force we have but is extremely difficult to improve. HUMAN LINIAR THINKING. The last factor is an even more powerful force that we humans create and sustain but is extremely resistant to change – and is likely to destroy everything (humans, environment, all life itself). FLAT LINED or INCREASSINGLY DYSFUNCTIONAL GOVERNMENT.

Our future is in our hands
Here’s what we can do

There are two deeply important days which require more understanding and your civic action.

With or without the individual you voted for now in power, it is always a good idea to put your civic super-power into action. The next 30 days is an excellent time to do it.

Our constitutional/inalienable right* to “petition” our government is infinitely more powerful than any vote we can cast. Once elected, winners too often go largely unsupervised except for the paid lobbyists showing up to talk about their special interests instead of ours “we the people”.

We can no longer leave our Members of Congress unsupervised between elections. Now is the time to let them know what you expect of them. Holding them accountable comes later.

Your job, if you agree to accept it, is to take at least one action each day for the next 30 days devoted to informing your Congressperson about what you want — which is hopefully what we, our community, our country, and the world needs.

Starting Veterans’ Day, a highly-focused feature will be posted to this series that will focus on a specific issue related to that day. It is intended to assist you in a focused action to begin building a friendly and working relationship with your U.S Representative — and any other constituents in your district that share your vision of a planet that our children can inherit with sustainable liberty and justice for all, for all time.

Then, Mobilized will provide a daily feature each day, for thirty continuous days intensely focused on a specific issue for that day along with ideas that you can put into action. Please feel free to take away what you wish and apply in your own unique way. Then use it wherever you can with the intention of informing and motivating your Congressperson to take the wisest action. You can find contact information for your representatives here.

Add your voice! Become a collaborator in creation. Sign up here.As Americans, we have pledged our allegiance before the Red, White and Blue many times. In doing so we pledged “liberty and justice for all”. Never before has it been more important to make this our civic priority until 2020. Try it for 30 days, for your country back.

Our Power is in Our Hands: More specifically, they:

  • Provide arguments that political reformers can transform into tools with which to lobby political parties, institutions and government agencies, in order to influence the legislative changes that are currently in progress.
  • Offer citizens tools that empower them as active agents facing a paradigm change that they need to take advantage of to its full potential.
  • Create a global affinity and collaboration network based on a common interests in the defense of the Internet, freedom of speech, quality of life, real personal health and a a real democracy.

Consider this. Every aspect of your life in your home and community is influenced by a variety of global factors that you have virtually no immediate personal control over.

But the quality of our lives, even our very survival, has been forever tied to the lives of people we never knew and may never know. From job losses, to infectious diseases, to extreme weather events, we are all in this together. Earth is our home. It deserves better than it has been given. And our political system gives us the power to make things better. Especially if we use it between elections.

*Our Right to petition our Government is a God given right acknowledged in the First Amendment of the US Constitution.

The right to petition government for redress of grievances is the right to make a complaint to, or seek the assistance of, one’s government, without fear of punishment or reprisals, ensured by the First Amendment to the United States Constitution. Article 44 of the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union ensures the right to petition to the European Parliament. The right can be traced back to the Basic Law for the Federal Republic of Germany, the Bill of Rights 1689, the Petition of Right, and Magna Carta.
