Experience Requirements:• Relevant Master’s degree or PhD in environmental science, social science, economics or environmental/CC related disciplines • Strong proven research expertise in climate change adaptation, climate resilience, natural resource management, low carbon development, climate finance, or related topic areas. • Good familiarity with current migration research and recognised migration theories • Demonstrated MEAL technical expertise and experience of evaluating climate change programmes and policies in developing countries is highly desirable • Demonstrated experience in leading and managing the delivery of significant projects and contributing to international development assignments for an international client, in a consultancy role or as a staff member within a major aid agency or think-tank • Proven research skills, including leading field-based and remote research, instrument design, quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis, and research communication. • Experience working with SC or similar child focused agency is an advantage • Demonstrable experience working on child rights, migration and/or displacement-related issues. • Excellent oral and written analytical and reporting skills, including fluency in written and spoken English • Proficiency in other core languages in region of focus is an advantage (E.G. French, Spanish, Arabic) • Familiarity with relevant project management tools
