Experience Requirements:
 
At least Master’s Degree in Sociology, Applied Social Science, Environment Science, or other related field; PhD would be an advantage · Minimum of 10-15 years of experience with social and environmental safeguards, or related areas and project/programme administration/management · International experience of working in the development sector in several countries, coordinating and working with multi-disciplinary teams · Prior experience with social and environmental safeguards related issues in forestry, agriculture, or related sectors with sound knowledge of REDD+ · Familiarity with projects financed by the World Bank and/or International Agencies and Government of Lao PDR’s administrative and other procedures · Familiarity with global requirements of results-based payments and benefit sharing · Proven expertise with policy research and analysis in forestry and natural resources · Experience with design and delivery of capacity building programmes, and outstanding facilitation skills · Good inter-personal and team building skills · Excellent spoken and written skills in English, knowledge of Lao language would be an advantageContact
